On Monday, July 27, a very hot day, many people from ages of 2-70 years plus were invited to tour the new WonderTrek Children’s Museum progress.
It was an exciting opportunity to see the progress but also experience the vision of what is to come. The Adventure Outfitters Studio is well on its way to fruition.
It was so much fun to see the young kids there, immediately starting hands-on play experiences and exploring! From there the 50-plus people were led on the Rachel and Bob Nystrom Family trails to the sites of several other planned exhibits and stations.
These included the tree fort, the ropes and pulley nature station, the rolling creek into the nature pond, the children’s gardens and more. The number of children’s and family’s activities that will be offered year-round at this amazing community asset is unlimited!
Our local schoolchildren will reap the benefit of this project being available to them. Not only will this asset be amazing for our local children and families, it will also be a tourist attraction that will likely have many state, national and maybe even worldwide folks wanting to visit our area.
This project will likely bring a real economic boost to our area. This project is being built in phases, but we are very close to having the funds to complete Phase One. Please consider donating to this wonderful project so that our current children and families, along with many future generations, will be able to experience hands-on, exploring, nature lessons that will provide not only educational experiences, but a lifetime of memories.
